We must issue a word of caution regarding these directories. The fact that a congregation is listed in any of them does not necessarily mean that it is known and recommended by us as being "sound in the faith." Even in the First Century, there were congregations involved in doctrines and practices that were contrary to the apostolic doctrine. It will undoubtedly be found to be the case that some such congregations are listed in these directories. These directories are known to be incomplete, as none of them contain all the congregations that refer to themselves as "churches of Christ." This could not be otherwise in the absence of a denominational organization that catalogs and coordinates the congregations. These are merely passed along as a service to those of you who may wish to visit a church of Christ in your area. We urge such visitors to observe the doctrine and practices of these groups, ask lots of questions, and examine them carefully by what you can read for yourselves in the Bible. Any additions or corrections should be pointed out to those who maintain the directories.
